Screwed Valve bodies – Flow Control Valve

Maric Flow Control Valves are available in screwed type (BSP or NPT), wafer type for flange mount, and insert type for press fitting into OEM equipment.
Screwed Valves
Why choose screwed type valves ?

Screwed type valves offer benefits where space is limited – as the overall diameter of the valve is only marginally bigger than the pipe size.
In certain confined space installations, a barrel union may be required to fit or remove the valve.

Thread Specifications

Maric screwed valves threads conform to (AS ISO 7.1-2008), and the industry norm of:
Parallel female series RP
Tapered male series R
(Teflon tape in the joint is recommended for a water tight seal).

BSP threads are available in many sizes, in M&F, F&F, and F&M.

NPT threads are available in F&F only.

What the Maric Valve does

The Maric Flow Control valve is designed to deliver a fixed, pre-set, constant (maximum) flow of water – irrespective of pressure differential across it within a given range, typically 140-1000 kPa.
This means constant flow rate, irrespective of fluctuating pressure upstream or downstream of the valve.

Control rubbers, together with the shape of their enclosure, controls the flow rate.
